This Privacy Policy describes how DesignOverhaul (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Creator Tools upload service (“Service”) at client.designoverhaul.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with TikTok, Pinterest, or Instagram, we receive the following through each platform’s official OAuth process:

  • Platform User ID — to identify your account within the Service on each connected platform (TikTok, Pinterest, and/or Instagram)
  • Display name and avatar — to show you which account is connected
  • OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) — to authenticate API requests to each platform on your behalf

Uploaded Content

When you upload photos or videos, the files are temporarily stored on our server solely for the purpose of transferring them to TikTok, Pinterest, or Instagram as you direct. Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 30 minutes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the Service:

  • Authenticate with the TikTok, Pinterest, and Instagram APIs on your behalf
  • Display your profile information in the app interface
  • Upload your content to TikTok, Pinterest, or Instagram as you direct
  • Check the processing status of your uploads

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties.

3. Data Storage & Retention

  • OAuth tokens are stored server-side for the duration of your session and are deleted when you disconnect your account.
  • Uploaded files are temporarily stored and automatically deleted within 30 minutes of upload.
  • We do not maintain any long-term database of user content or personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service interacts with the following third-party services:

  • TikTok API — Your content is sent to TikTok at your request. TikTok’s handling of your data is governed by TikTok’s Privacy Policy.
  • Pinterest API — Your content is sent to Pinterest at your request. Pinterest’s handling of your data is governed by Pinterest’s Privacy Policy.
  • Instagram API (Meta Platforms) — Your content is sent to Instagram at your request. Instagram’s handling of your data is governed by Instagram’s Privacy Policy.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Disconnect your TikTok, Pinterest, or Instagram account from the Service at any time using the “Disconnect” button in the app
  • Revoke access directly from each platform’s account settings — on TikTok under “Manage app permissions,” on Pinterest under “Apps,” and on Instagram under “Apps and Websites”
  • Request deletion of any data we may hold by contacting us at contact@designoverhaul.com

6. Cookies

The Service uses minimal session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising cookies.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the Service, please contact us and we will promptly delete any associated data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
